The short version

Stax Shot works locally on your computer. Your captures, annotations, preferences, and screenshot history are not sent to us.

Data Stax Shot handles

The app accesses screen content only when you ask it to make a capture. It stores preferences and optional screenshot history locally. Files are saved only where you choose.

Accounts, analytics, and advertising

Stax Shot does not require an account and does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, or telemetry.

Network services

The current app does not use a network service to upload or process screenshots. If a future optional online feature changes this, this policy will be updated before release.

System permissions

macOS and Windows may ask for screen-capture permission. It is managed by your operating system and can be removed in system settings.
